CLEVELAND – Browns defensive end Billy Winn is active after missing five games with a quadriceps injury suffered Week 3 against the Vikings. The Browns will play the Baltimore Ravens today at 4:25 p.m. FirstEnergy Stadium.
Winn was limited in practice the last two weeks but said he was “feeling great” and able to participate in all drills.
Outside linebacker Quentin Groves is also active. He missed four of the previous six games after suffering a high ankle sprain Week 2 in a 14-6 loss to Baltimore.
Groves, a special teams captain, returned Oct. 13 in a loss to Detroit and reinjured the ankle the next week in Green Bay. He missed last week’s game in Kansas City.
The Browns’ inactives were all healthy scratches: nose tackle Ishmaa’ily Kitchen, offensive linemen Patrick Lewis, Martin Wallace, Garrett Gilkey and Reid Fragel, tight end Keavon Milton and outside linebacker/special teamer Paul Hazel.
Kitchen is the only mild surprise. He’d been active every week, is the backup to Phil Taylor and has 19 tackles.
The Ravens inactives are: starting left guard Kelechi Osemele (back), safety Brynden Trawick, running back Bernard Scott, center Ryan Jensen, receiver Brandon Stokley (groin), defensive end DeAngelo Tyson and outside linebacker John Simon.
A.Q. Shipley will start for Osemele. Jameel McClain will start at inside linebacker for Josh Bynes.
