CORRECTIONS: Jan. 14, 2012

A document in Neil Simpson’s case file is missing — not the entire file. A headline Friday incorrectly described the extent of what is missing. Conrad’s Dairy Farm, which recently installed water beds for its dairy herd, is in Penfield Township. A story Friday provided an incorrect location.

CORRECTION: Oct. 22, 2011

Issue 4, the Amherst Township streets, road and bridges levy on the ballot Nov. 8, will not replace the fire and emergency medical services levy. Collection of the fire levy will be reduced by the amount of the road levy, creating no increase for taxpayers. That was unclear in an Oct. 17 story.

Correction for Sept. 3, 2011

A story in Friday’s Chronicle-Telegram incorrectly attributed a conviction to the Mario S. Whitfield who was killed Thursday. According to court records, a different Mario S. Whitfield was convicted of domestic violence.

• A picture appearing Tuesday with a story about the LCCC golf benefit incorrectly identified the golfer depicted. The picture was of former local judge Joseph Cirgiliano, one of the founders of the LCCC scholarship fund. • The first name of Wellington Fire Chief Bob Walker was incorrect in a story Tuesday.

Tim Adkins was the men’s overall winner at the Vermilion 5K on July 23. His first name was incorrect in a story. The amount of water inside the old Maplewood Elementary School amounted to roughly 375,000 gallons pumped out over the course of several days. An incorrect figure was included in a story Friday.

CORRECTION: Wrong photo appears in today’s Chronicle

A photo that appears in today’s print Chronicle with a story about former Lorain police Officer Joseph Montelon was accompanied by a photo that is not Montelon. The picture that appeared in the paper was of former Elyria City Councilman Joseph Monteleone.

A health screening listing that appeared in the paper and on www.chroniclet.com in late June provided an incorrect date for a screening. There is no screening today at Walgreens on Leavitt Road in Lorain.

Neil Simpson is facing the death penalty for the 2007 slaying of Granny D’s Pizza owner David Kowalczyk. A story and cutline Tuesday incorrectly stated the year the killing occurred.

Corrections for June 18, 2010

Mychael Wynters’ name has been misspelled in stories about his mauling death by dogs owned by his father, Michael Kywa. Lorain County Probate Court records show that he changed his name in 2005 from Michael Lee Kywa to Mychael Dark Wynters to avoid confusion with his father.
