5 arrested in connection with heroin trafficking

LORAIN – A year-long investigation resulted in five arrests early Wednesday for drug-related activity.

Police from Lorain, Elyria, the Lorain County Drug Task Force and West Shore Enforcement Bureau executed 12 search warrants Wednesday morning in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties.

They arrested five people in connection with a “large scale heroin trafficking organization,” according to a press release.

Those arrested and charged include:

  • George Seymore, 38, 3400 block of Dallas Avenue, Lorain, charged with engaging in pattern of corrupt activity and two counts of trafficking in drugs.
  • Robert Young, 51, 300 block of Brittany Lane, Elyria, charged with engaging in pattern of corrupt activity and two counts of trafficking in drugs.
  • Wayne Norris, 27, 300 block of Brittany Lane, Elyria, charged with engaging in pattern of corrupt activity and two counts of trafficking in drugs.
  • Stacy Norris, 28, 700 block of Delaware Avenue, Elyria, charged with conspiracy.
  • Pamela Pearson, 46, 400 block of Third Street, Elyria, charged with conspiracy.

In addition to the arrests, police found seven vehicles, over a kilo of heroin, money and several firearms.

The investigation is ongoing and police are releasing more information on the arrests on Thursday, according to Lorain police.
