• Avon Lake senior Peter Lancione finished fourth Saturday in the Division I 300-meter hurdles at the state meet. He ran 39.12 to earn all-state honors. His effort was inadvertently omitted from a story in Sunday's edition.
"It feels good to finally get up here (on the podium)," said Lancione. "It's been my goal since I was a freshman. For it to finally happen is big."
Berea senior Donovan Robertson repeated as the event winner (36.90).
Lancione and teammate Nick Bossard were the first Shoremen to qualify to state for a hurdle event since 1964.
• Due to an editor's mistake, the division in which Black River pole vaulter Becca Herte won the state championship Saturday was incorrect in a story in Sunday's edition. Herte won the title in Division II, tying her career best with a vault of 11 feet, 9 inches.
