Critter Chronicles: Jack

  • http-chronicle-northcoastnow-com-wp-content-uploads-2014-08-Jack-multiple-300x168

Jack was taken to the pound after roaming a campsite in Southern Ohio for weeks. Jack is missing his left eye. Although we do not know the history, it was taken care of professionally by a veterinarian. This minor handicap does not stop Jack from enjoying life. Jack’s temperament is calm and laid back. Jack would be a great companion.  He really enjoys being outdoors! Jack is totally house-trained; has never had an accident in his foster home or his kennel. Smart and eager to please, Jack will sit and lay down on command. Things that Jack is working on: Jack has been afraid to come in and out of the house. And if a leash is put on him to coax him in or out, he cowers down to the ground. We are not sure if it is because he is not used to being in a home environment yet. Because of Jack not really liking a leash on (he may have never had a leash before), he is also working on leash training/walking with signs of progression every day.
