11:14 p.m. — 400 block Kenyon Ave., resident said the car her 16-year-old son drives was parked outside their home and at about 11 p.m. he heard a loud noise and came outside to find the driver’s-side window and rear window smashed and the windshield damaged. The son said he heard someone drive by in a dark Ford F-150 pickup and yell, “I got you (expletive).” The son denied knowing anyone who would want to damage the car.
Friday, Nov. 30
6:12 p.m. — Walmart, 4380 Leavitt Road, Carlos A. Rivera, 22, 2500 block E. 33rd St., arrested and charged with theft. Police said Rivera and a woman tried to steal a television and ran out of the store when store security guards tried to stop them. Officer A.J. Mathewson, who was off-duty, helped a security guard tackle Rivera outside the store, according to a police report. The woman, whom Rivera wouldn’t identify, escaped.
7:39 p.m. — 3900 block Reid Ave., resident said $150 in cash and a $300 ring stolen from his trailer with entry through a back window in which the screen was pushed in.
9 p.m. — 1200 block W. Fifth St., Edwin J. Fernandez Jr., 23, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Fernandez girlfriend said he broke into her home causing a bump on her head when she said he broke down the door. She said he backhanded her after she tried to stop him from beating up a man she had a child with. Fernandez said he cut his hand when the he tried to grab a knife that he said the girlfriend pulled on him.
Saturday, Dec. 1
1:13 a.m. — 4700 block Kolbe Road, Andrew Maslowski, 30, Parma, arrested and charged with domestic violence. The woman who has a 6-year-old son with Maslowski said he was visiting the son and became drunk and threw a mug full of pop at her and threatened to kill her.
1:43 a.m. — 500 block W. 28th St., David Schenko, 32, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Schenko’s girlfriend, who police said had swelling by her left temple, said he slapped her, shoved her to the ground and punched her. Schenko told police she pushed him and when he pushed her back, she fell and her face hit a door jam.
11:16 a.m. — Police Department, 100 W. Erie Ave., Joseph Noble, 35, 700 block W. 18th St. Lorain, charged with domestic violence but not arrested. Noble’s girlfriend, whom police said had a black eye, said he punched her and then poured windshield washer fluid and turkey grease over the front seats of her 2002 Ford Explorer.
8:20 p.m. — 1600 block E. 29th St., resident said computer and video games with total value of $900 stolen from her apartment. The resident said she locked the apartment door when she left, but police said they found no signs of forced entry.
9:12 p.m. — 1500 block Fillmore Ave., resident said someone stole her purse containing $100 which was on her kitchen table. She believes someone opened a kitchen window to steal it.
Sunday, Dec. 2
12:35 a.m. — Richard’s Premier Lounge, 2602 E. 28th St., Kareem Hunt, 41, 300 block 18th St., Elyria, arrested and charged with persistent disorderly conduct. Police said Hunt was asked to leave the bar and was screaming at people outside the bar. They said he refused their warnings to leave before being arrested.
1:52 a.m. — Super Kmart, 5350 Leavitt Road, store security guard said a man pulled out a knife and waved it at him when he tried to stop him from leaving the store with a stolen watch.
Tuesday, November 20
9:53 p.m. — 900 block of Decatur St., the mother of an 8-year-old reported suspicious activity that occurred while her child was walking home from Vermilion Elementary School. The woman said a male driver and a female passenger approached her daughter and her friend in the area of Edison and Jefferson streets. She said they did not attempt to lure the children into the vehicle, but she wanted to report the incident because she felt it was inappropriate, police said.

8:49 a.m. — 3700 block of Elizabeth Drive, reported theft from a residence.
Sunday, November 25
11:17 p.m. — Liberty Avenue, Nathaniel R. Tomko, 32, of Vermilion, arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and left of center. Police said Tomko was stopped for a traffic violation and had a blood-alcohol content of .215 percent.
12:12 a.m. — 5600 block of Liberty Ave., Bryce Kreicher, 22, of Oberlin, arrested and charged with assault. Kriecher’s girlfriend said Kreicher choked her in the parking lot of Rudy’s Bar. Two witnesses told police they saw Kreicher choking the woman and intervened to break up the scuffle. Police said Kreicher’s girlfriend’s neck and upper chest was red.

10:43 p.m. — 600 block of South Shore Court, man arrested and charged with domestic violence, no name given.
Thursday, November 29
12:15 a.m. — no location given, Michael Bryne arrested and charged with speeding, operating a vehicle under the influence, and possession of heroin. Police said Byrne was stopped for driving 67 mph in a 25 mph zone.
6 p.m. — 900 block of N. Lake St., a woman said her purse was taken from her shopping cart at Aldi’s Supermarket without her knowledge. There was reportedly a large amount of cash in the purse, but no other items of value.
6:39 p.m. — 900 block of N. Lake St., a woman reported that the passenger side door of her vehicle was open, but nothing appeared to be stolen or damaged in the vehicle.
