ELYRIA — A woman told police she suspects a Salvation Army volunteer of taking credit and debit cards, cash and her driver’s license from her purse during a shift she worked Friday.
According to a police report the woman filed Friday, she went to intern at the Salvation Army on West Broad Street at 9 a.m. Friday where she put her purse and book bag into a locker in the women’s bathroom next to a gymnasium.
The woman told police she remembered seeing a volunteer go into the restroom about 11:20 a.m., about 40 minutes before she went home.
The woman said she discovered her wallet missing from her purse about 1:30 p.m.
Checks of the locker and the area near it failed to turn up the missing wallet, police said.
