SHEFFIELD — State Route 301 — also known as Abbe Road — will close Monday at the bridge that goes over Interstate 90 as part of a replacement project.
The closing will allow work on an Ohio Department of Transportation $3.1 million bridge replacement project by Mosser Construction Inc. of Fremont.
Traffic will be detoured along the following routes:
- Northbound motorists will take state Route 301 to state Route 254 (Detroit Road), then drive southwest on Route 254 to Interstate 90, east on the I-90 to state Route 611 (Colorado Avenue), then west on state Route 611 to state Route 301.
- Southbound drivers will use the same detour in reverse.
The affected portion of Route 301 is expected to reopen in early September.
