ELYRIA — A city man said he was robbed at gunpoint around 4 a.m. Sunday after walking across the Fourth Street Bridge near East River Street.
The man said a red Pontiac Grand Am and a small, dark-colored car pulled up and a man from each car got out and approached him carrying pistols, according to a police report. The man said the men threatened to kill him and ripped off his jacket, which contained his wallet and cell phone. The man, who lives nearby, said he ran home and called police.
Another witness said only one vehicle was used by the man and it may have been a red Dodge Daytona. The report did not have a detailed description of the men.
