VERMILION — A Lorain man was arrested during a traffic stop after drugs were found in the vehicle, police said.
At 4:06 p.m. Monday, officers stopped the vehicle on Liberty Avenue near Marlborough Road for several violations.
Vermilion Police Department K-9 Miro alerted officers to the odor of narcotics from the vehicle, and a search found seven doses of LSD, two vials of hashish oil, seven grams of marijuana and 30 different drug-related items, according to a news release.
The driver, Charles Herbert, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs — LSD, possession of drugs — hashish oil, possession or marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Herbert was arraigned Tuesday at Vermilion Municipal Court, and a pre-trial hearing was set for 9:15 a.m. Aug. 6.
Police said Herbert’s arrest was the fourth drug arrest contributed to by the Vermilion Police Department K-9 Unit in the past month.
