WELLINGTON — Officials were not releasing the number and identities of the persons involved in a motor vehicle accident at state Route 18 and Quarry Road on Friday evening.
However, according to a dispatcher with the Elyria post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, no fatalities were reported at the scene.
Earlier reports indicated that helicopters landed and one person involved was transported by Southern Lorain County Ambulance to Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin.
While the number of vehicles involved remained undisclosed Friday, it was confirmed that at least two vehicles were impacted. A Ford pickup sustained damage and a Subaru sustained “100 percent damage,” according to the police scanner.
The medical conditions of motorists involved in the wreck remain unknown at press time.
The crash remains under investigation.
