Jake P. Nolan, 18, of Elyria, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. He was born July 3, 1988 in Elyria and was a lifelong Lorain County resident.
Mr. Nolan attended Western Reserve High School in Wakeman, and was employed as a laborer at DOT Diamond Core Drilling, Inc. in Elyria. He was a member of Nativity B. V.M. Catholic Church in South Amherst, and enjoyed riding dirt bikes, skateboarding and snowboarding, golfing, and fishing.
Survivors include his parents, Connie and Tom Friedman of Wakeman and Pat and Jeannie Nolan of Amherst; brothers, Ryan Nolan of Amherst, and Evan and Jordan Friedman of Lexington; sister, Courtney Friedman of Daytona Beach, FL; grandparents, Kay Nolan of Elyria, John Matesic of Elyria, and Martin and Jean Friedman of Elyria; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Leo Nolan Sr., Stella Matesic and Charles and Kay Thomas.
Friends may call Wednesday 4 to 8 P.M. at Nativity B.V.M. Church, 333 South Lake St., South Amherst. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 A.M. at the church. The Rev. Denis St. Marie, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the food bank at Nativity B.V.M. Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
