Ruby Elizabeth Reinecke (nee Nibert), 87, of Lorain, died Sunday, August 5, 2007, at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph Residential Center, Lorain, after a 4 month battle with lung cancer. She was born on January 7, 1920 in Delaware. Mrs. Reinecke moved as a baby to Bucyrus. She had resided in Lorain since 1952. Mrs. Reinecke was a 1938 graduate of Bucyrus High School where she was the first homecoming queen in 1937-1938. She was employed for 32 years as a chemical technician in the research and development department of B.F. Goodrich Company, Avon Lake, where she retired in 1982. Mrs. Reinecke loved caring for her family. She formerly enjoyed traveling.
Mrs. Reinecke is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Arthur Reinecke; sisters, Hazel Gaye Martin of Navada, and Joanne Raymond of North Ridgeville; and many nieces nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Nibert and Della Ray Gunther (nee LaNier); and sisters, Doris Flaherty and Blanche Grove.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain.
