Clifford David “Cliff” Brown, Jr., 57, of Elyria, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at St. John West Shore after a sudden illness. Born June 10, 1952 in Elyria, Clifford was a lifelong resident of Elyria. He graduated in 1970 from Elyria High School.
He was employed at Cleveland Finance Center in Cleveland, as a computer programmer for approximately 13 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam era.
Mr. Brown enjoyed fishing and watching sports, classical music and playing the trumpet.
He is survived by sons, Joseph H. Brown, Clifford D. Brown, III and Thomas E. Brown, all of Elyria; parents, Clifford D. Sr. and L. Elaine (nee Dirrim) Brown, of Port Clinton; and a sister, Susan Hartman, of Marblehead.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A funeral mass will be 10 A.M. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, 162 Irondale St., Elyria. Rev. Edmund Golbach will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
