Paula C. Akers, 44, of Medina, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Life Care Center of Medina, under the compassionate care of their staff and Crossroads Hospice, following a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. She was born in Montgomery West Virginia on June 5, 1968, and had been a resident of Lorain since 1976.
Paula had a love for fashion, and enjoyed working with clothing. She enjoyed music, and loved caring for her 11 nieces and nephews.
Survivors include; her mother, Gail (nee Akers) Spears of Lorain; sisters, Tonda (Jeff) Anderson of Grafton, Kimberly Spears of Lorain and Angela (Steve) Hronek of Lorain; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Spears.
Friends may call Thursday January 10, 2013, from 3 P.M. until the time of the services at 6 P.M., at Wyers Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Sheffield Township. Additional visitation and services will take place Friday, January 11, 2013, at Montgomery Memorial Park, London West Virginia.
