Brian Shreve, 70, of Elyria, died unexpectedly of natural cause Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in his home. He was born November 30, 1942 in Buckhannon, West Virginia; was a graduate of Elyria High School, and had moved back to Buckhannon, West Virginia after serving with the U.S. Army.
He was formerly employed with the Buckhannon Record Newspaper as a typesetter and later moved to Elyria and worked for The Morning Journal in Lorain, then drove taxi in Elyria for many years. He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years.
Brian is survived by a son, Daniel (Laura) Shreve of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughter, Desiree Riley of Denver, Colorado; mother and stepfather, Eva J. and Howard Cheshier of Elyria; and sisters, Marlene (Dale) Lewis of Vermilion, Margaret (T.Z.) Sherrill and Marion (Mel) Carnahan, both of Panama City, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd J. Shreve in 2012; and an infant son, Keith Wayne Shreve.
