ELYRIA — Area families will another chance today to sign up for The Chronicle-Telegram’s Not-Forgotten Box campaign. Signups will be accepted 4 to 7 p.m. at the Elyria Salvation Army on 716 Broad St. The agency signed up 400 to 500 families during a three-day period last week, according to Salvation Army Maj. Police ID victim of fatal Lorain shooting


LORAIN — A man was fatally shot in Lorain overnight, according to Lorain police Lt. Mark Carpentiere. Memorial Day celebrations

In recognition of the Memorial Day holiday, city and village offices will be closed and mail won’t be delivered Monday. Neither Elyria nor Allied Waste will collect trash Monday. Instead, scheduled trash pickups will be delayed by a day for the rest of the week with the last garbage collection being Saturday instead of Friday. Read More…
